God Talk: Debates and Discussions with Believers

These are actual conversations that have taken place between religious believers and myself, through forums, email, dialogue, etc. This discussion has been kept in its original format, with spelling and grammatical errors in tact.

Creationist Craziness 2

Christian: Evolution has far too many flawed, unaccountable problems built into it. Fossil records do bare evidence of a global flood----life suddenly trapped & pressed by layers of strata compounded by extreme water pressures. If the animals merely died, their body gases would have them float up to the surface while other living creatures would have eaten them to pieces. They wouldn't have stayed "intact on the bottom" as evolutionists suggest.

Rebuttal: Their "body gases"? Do you even understand the process of fossilization [how fossils form], or do you think a carcass just lays there in tact and gets buried? The fact that you bring up about the different layers of strata undermines your entire claim. If a global flood had occurred, we should find a layer full of all organisms, with little to nothing before it. We don't find this though. We've never found marsupials in Alaska or polar bears in Australia. I suggest you do some more serious research.

Christian Obviously, your hostility tells me a lot about you. The world hates its Creator and would gladly try to crucify Him again if He were to allow it. Funny, but Evolutionists just can't explain the existence of "Evil", nor can they explain the miraculous preservation of the Jewish race. And oh yes, Evolutionists go "nuts" over the inevitable law of physics that deals with Entropy. Even Einstein agreed here with the concept of a Creator God to explain the creation of Universal Laws.

Rebuttal: Yep, I am hostile to lies. And now that your global flood lunacy has been addressed, you change the subject. Bravo. Evolution need not explain evil, because (listen closely) evolution is an explanation for the diversity of biological life, NOT the origins or content of morality. The miraculous preservation of the Jewish race? Don't make me laugh. The Egyptian race still exists too, is that also miraculous?

Your comment about "the inevitable law of physics that deals with Entropy" shows you don't actually understand what the second law of thermodynamics is. It's not a predictor of disorder, and it applies in a closed system, which Earth is not (look out your window at that big ball of flame in the sky - that's the source of our energy). Einstein called nature his god, and it had nothing to do with "universal laws". A creator god is not incompatible with evolution, by the way. All your statements about such are irrelevant when a creator could easily choose to use evolution as the mechanism for life's diversity. Your rigid and antiquated interpretation of Genesis is really what conflicts with evolution, and judging from how little you know of science, I'm not inclined to believe that you've given this matter any serious study.
